YNPN New Mexico is focused on building a stronger community propelled by a network of inspired and engaged leaders. The organization recognizes the value of Public Speaking and would like to offer their members the opportunity to develop and practice their skills speaking in public for professional purposes. Join us for these 2 sessions on November 15th and 17th at Albuquerque Community Foundation from 7:45am to 9:30am! We'll start at 8am these mornings, but join us a little early for some networking as well as coffee and other treats!
:: Training Summary and Learning Objectives
The trainer will facilitate 2-90 minute trainings designed to increase participant’s ability to speak publically for professional purposes. Over the course of the two trainings participants will also have the ability to practice and apply best practices in Public Speaking.
In this training, participants will learn to:
Deliver a speech with power and confidence
Analyze an audience to deliver appropriate content
Organize ideas to craft a clear and effective speech
Create impactful visual aids to strengthen a presentation
:: The Trainer
Tamara Thorpe is the Millennials Mentor; a Leadership Expert and Organizational Development Consultant. She creates exceptional leadership training programs for Millennial leaders, and helps businesses understand and leverage a multi-generational workforce. Tamara is a seasoned Speaker who has delivered Keynote and Plenary speeches across North America, including a collaborative performance piece titled, “Who am I?” that she has performed in both the US and Canada. She has also delivered powerful presentations across Europe and Latin America inspiring young leaders to take action to build their legacy. In 2015, Tamara delivered an inspiring talk at the TEDxABQ Salon for Entrepreneurs sharing the unique and complex journey of entrepreneurship. Tamara has taught Public Speaking in higher education and provided individual coaching for aspiring speakers.
